Modern food truck and bar venue. Small amount of seating inside otherwise its outside. Check out the photos. Rotating food trucks, check website for who's on. Wheelchair friendly and great for large groups. I wouldn't recommend this place on a windy day unless you want to sit inside. The food was good and there is a good selection of craft beers.
A nice venue, good food and friendly enough staff, we had a bad experience though: Despite being advertised as open until 10pm and us making a group booking for two hours from 630-830pm we were told last drinks at 7.15am because they said they were not busy enough - (there were 20-30 people drinking and eating there). The table next to ours was a large group celebrating a birthday party who must have been even more disappointed than us to leave early.
A breathe of fresh air Outside with food trucks and fresh gin. What more could you ask for. Taken from the inspiration of a lifetime lived, Urban Ground and their distillery St Felix give fresh life to a revitalized pocket. Get involved with the house distilled gin, Colonial beers on tap and miles of outdoor space (most of it undercover, bloody genius). Add a playground for the kids and food trucks on rotation and this easily the best watering hole in Mordi to fill your Summer days.
Urban Ground is a modern urban industrial food truck park and bar. It's tucked in to an industrial area of Mordialloc along with distillery, Saint Felix. You have the choice of about four different food vendors who were all busy but managed to keep the food rolling out at a pace. It is family friendly with a play area and it has a very large undercover outdoor area so still should be great in so so weather. Bar service was a little slow for such a busy place and some more regular attention to the toilets is needed.
We've visited Urban Ground Mordialloc a few times now, that they should probably introduce a frequent diners program! Anyone else? The local area was really missing out on a permanent gig with food trucks, and they've really done well with such a great range of permanent and rotating eats! If you're not aware, they've got a pretty sweet setup for kids. It includes swings, a cubby house, and building blocks. It's mostly weather protected and close to seating. The only downside is the parking in the area, but usually when we go, we beat the main rush.
Nice place to go for a meal and drink. Healthy choices. Vegan options. Lot's of alcoholic choices. Playground for kids. Outdoor and indoor seating
