I’ve been here for dinner 1year ago and there was an amazing atmosphere, good value food. A few weeks ago I visited for a lunch and the atmosphere was rather blunt and the food average-ish (pics from dining experience Jan 2018). Overall not bad and you won’t find better in this town
Small but well thought out menu with delightful dishes and a very enjoyable and intimate dining experience. The interior of the restaurant has been updated to match the beautiful outside now (Which lends itself perfectly to a few beers in the sun after a long walk through the forests). The big roomy dinning room feels very warm and despite it's size quite intimate. The menu is not a huge unwieldy behemoth but rather a smartly chosen smaller menu that opts for frequent change rather than trying to contain a million dishes. The food was lovely (Albeit it slightly under seasoned for my taste, but that's a personal preference) and presented in a beautiful manner. What really sets the place apart though is the fondness and expertise for beer. They have a beer accompaniment suggestion chart and we spent most of last night talking to the owner about the various beers he has on stock, the enthusiasm was extremely infectious and his recommendations were spot on. For a monday evening as an impromptu restaurant visit it was the perfect experience, delicious, delightful, informal and yet luxurious. Nils
