Never going to be a world heritage site which is good as it is easy to go and see and no fences and few people. You do need a working knowledge of the Mallorcan Talaiot period to appreciate it if you want to put it into context. Or just go to enjoy the open space and the old stones. Got there by public transport and a bit of a walk so felt good about going.
I visited the site of Talaior Son Fornès whilst on holiday in Majorca. Some of the sight is beautifully preserved and give a real insight into early life on the island 3000 years ago, a must visit place.
This is one of my favourite historical places on the island. The Talaoit gives you a fine feeling of the way former inhabitants of Mallorca built their villages. When you go there in the late afternoon you will not be disturbed by other visitors.
Absolutely fascinating, an amazingly well preserved ancient site. Good explanation info on site.
