Lovely Castle set high up with fab views. Good walks nearby and lovely little town with nice cafe and good chippy.

Beautiful scenery. A nice place to sit with a picnic or just spent time on a nice sunny day. Lovely little village below, very quaint.

It's not actually a castle but a ruin. However, there is enough left to make it interesting, there are also fine views over the neighbouring countryside. There is no admission charge. Beware of the path you take from the town to the castle. The best is opposite the petrol station, the other path is tricky to negotiate.

Well worth the effort to walk up the very steep hill behind the town hall, the views are amazing from where the castle sits above the town of Montgomery. The ruins are still very imposing and hint at its power long ago, there is a car park for those who prefer to drive up.

High on the hill above the town of Montgomery, a steep walk by foot, though there is a small free car park at the top of the hill if you prefer. Some information boards telling a brief history. Free to enter. Spectacular views of the valley below. There is a lovely covered seating area which looks across to the castle. Tranquil and relaxing spot, worth a visit if you like a bit of history. Kids love running round the ruins.
