I did my first order the 5th of February. It was postponed because of the snow storm for the 10th, up to here, everything ok. However, that same day, when I asked about the delivery, as I did not have any news, I was told that the bike I chose was broken and I had to select another one.
This meant at least two more days, plus the five that I already waited. If a bike is in your website it should be ready for delivering, not checked five days after the order was made and just after I asked about it.
Even at that moment, I just ordered another bike as soon as possible, the same day. I got and email saying that the bike would arrive the 12th, I asked to work from home and waited for the whole day, send many emails without responses. The 15th they answered me that there was a problem with the transport company, an they told me it would be delivered next day, 16th. It was again postponed for the fourth time, to the 17th.
I got my bike the 17th, 15 days after my first order, with all the money that it implied for me to take the bus during those weeks. I asked them for a compensation and they excuses themselves blaming the transport company. However, I paid for the bike and delivery to the same company, and that is Cheapassbikes, so I understand they must assume the consequences of the companies they contract.
They offered me a discount of 12 euros next time I buy a bike...
What's more, leaving the service apart, the bike makes a horrible sound while riding. After all the difficulties they made, they did not even check the simplest thing, loose parts. Definitely, this is not what I expected for the price I paid (it was not the cheapest bike).
Finally, I am sending it back and paying 35 euros just for the inconveniences they caused me.
They got what they wanted, at this point I only want it to come to an end and forget the whole experience. But I would never recommend anybody Cheapassbikes.
