Chateau is lovely, with a really interesting backstory. Despite its size it feels like a real house. Setting is peaceful, rural France, but still close to civilisation. Stayed two nights B&B, a welcome and minor detour off the Calais/Bordeaux route; 5hrs from the Tunnel is about right. Owners made us feel very welcome and the dogs made a huge impression on the children! There's a beautiful lake at nearby Mayenne with beach, swimming and watersports and some good places to eat in the town itself.

What a stunningly beautiful Chateau. Perfect location, wonderful period featured Chateau set within its own Woods, walks on the Fields and by the Lake. Truly a magical place.
Billy and Gwendoline were superb hosts for our two night stay in their beautiful chateau. My wife and I had a fantastic experience, enjoyed meeting the extended family and also being shown around the extensive grounds by Missy! Can't wait to return to see progress on renovation works. Would highly recommend a visit.
Amazing place to stay. we stayed in the gîte for the week-end. Luxurious place in a peaceful environment . The hosts are brilliant, so friendly and professionals . The grounds are so well kept , breakfast was lovely and fresh every morning .I wish I could get married again to organize a wedding there . We will definitely be back and I highly recommend this place
