I am furloughed and have been for 9 months . I wrote to the owner regarding work but never received any acknowledgement or email back even to say thanks (we’ve found someone ) or your not suitable for this role . I would like to change my career and my interpersonal skills and retail experience are the best you’ll get ! I have worked for one of the worlds best airlines for 21 years ! I love animals and have my own dog. I would like to study for a veterinary qualification too. As a customer it would have been great to use Paws for dog items or fish food . When I went into the shop I was quite surprised how expensive everything was and at 8 per hour for employees with supervisory experience that’s too low . So I’ll be shopping elsewhere . I think not responding to someone who takes interest in your business speaks volumes .

What a wonderful store, this business has supported us through the lockdown we have several rescue animals and when we have needed to order specific items in they have always done their best to find the right products for us and at the right prices . I know how tough this past year has been on small businesses but this shop has right through the lockdown managed to keep our animals in feed even when there was shortages of certain feedstuff they managed to source it for us even with my dads dog as my dad has kidney failure and is on dialysis and has had to safeguard they managed to source the products he uses so I could safely get them to him . They have a good selection of bird toys our African grey often likes a new treat or toy and they sell the most wonderful microfibre pet towels as we recently purchased a large dog one we actually use on our horses that’s what I love about this shop if there is something your looking for they can most certainly help find it . They have a good range of products right through the shop and I like to look to see what they have that’s new for our animals . I am definitely one for supporting local small businesses and they have lovely staff too ,always helpful when I need stuff for our animals it certainly beats buying online there is nothing better than actually being able to walk into a shop and see what it is your buying instead of ordering online . I just wanted to say thank you for all the help recently from all the staff there you all work so hard ,I think people forget you too are frontline workers as have stayed open to keep our pets in feed and treats and essentials during this tough time . Stay safe everyone from all our furries and feathered friends at the Pope household ️

Found this nice pet shop last weekend. Had alot of goodies for my dog and the man i spoke to in the shop was really helpful and knowledgable. I didnt know they had a groomers there which I will try next time im in after other good reviews from my friends.
