The museum is a beautyful building, situated on the shores of The Pacific Ocean. We visited the present exhibitions, The Aalvar Alto show and the museums collection of modern, japanese art. Both exhibitions were historically interesting and beatifully shown. The museum also has a nice outdoor exhibition of sculptures, including a small fountain of Hossain Golba.
A nice, relaxed, unfussy museum overlooking the sea. I saw the commemorative exhibit of Tetsugoro Yorozu, a painter active in the first decades of the 20th century and who died relatively young. It suffered a bit from over-completeness, but was not crowded at all even on a holiday weekend. The bus, however was another story. It's just 15-20 minutes on bus 12 from Zushi Station, but in prime beachgoing season both the bus and narrow seaside road are packed -- I mean, uncomfortably pressed up against strangers for 30 minutes packed. It's more than possible to walk if the weather is good, but takes about an hour. Plenty of places to eat and rest along the way, though.
Overlooking the bay, it is a beautiful museum featuring temporary exhibits throughout the year.
駐車場は有料です。美術館は綺麗で入館料はﾘｰｽﾞﾅﾌﾞﾙです。 敷地内のﾚｽﾄﾗﾝも綺麗な景色を眺めながら楽しめるので最高です。 敷地内の作品や海を眺めなから散策するのも気持ち良いです。
とても素敵な海岸に近くの美術館。天気が良ければ遠くの富士山も。併設のレストランもおすすめです。
