The shop area is very clean and well presented. The menu is clear and offers a good choice, with some interesting specials also available. The staff are friendly and helpful, providing prompt service. Most importantly, the fish and chips are of a very high standard, an lives up to expectations. If you are in town, treat yourself!

My family and I had our tea here on Monday night. The two kids had a fish cake and the cod pieces. I was expecting the cod pieces to be little bits of fish but it was about 6 good sized pieces of fish. To much for the little one but great for me to help him . Me and my husband both had the medium cod which was plenty big enough. I'm glad we didn't get the large . If your in Whitby it's well worth a visit. Clean, friendly and tasty food.
Lovely restaurant, clean, great provision for social distancing with high glass partitions. Waitress was lovely, efficient & polite. Haddock & chips were very tasty. Mushroom Soup however was amazing, I used to be a chef & this was better than mine, fabulously mushroomy & garlicky, with a warm crusty bread roll. well done all round. Will definitely be back.
Beautiful fish and chips as always! I live in London but my family live not too far from Whitby - I always have to come here for my fish and chips and have done so since I was a little girl, I will never be disappointed. Beautiful fresh battered fish, delicious chips and an extremely clean restaurant despite how busy it was! I would definitely recommend a visit to Mister Chips if your visiting Whitby :)
Wouldn't go anywhere else in Whitby for fish and chips. The food is amazing, the fish is fresh, the staff were well mannered and in these current times, extremely safe. Also dog friendly! 100% would recommend .
