Went during peak birding migration time. Unfortunately, between the high high winds and the border patrol chopper hovering above my bird count was low. Saw Green Jay's, Kiskydee, and a few other species. A bit disappoint, decided to call it a day and we t to work. Second time I've been here. It was not a total loss since the place is very relaxing!

Spent the day walking around with the wife. Had a great time seeing all the different types of birds. Walked our dog here also, he loved the exercise.
Excellent bird watching
Many childhood memories of family gatherings, cook outs, camping, fishing, along with sights of many different species of birds.Though many things have changed, I still visit frequently just to get a bit of fresh air, listen to the animals calling as i take a walk through the multiple trails on a fresh morning. I wish we had many more places like this nearby, and i hope it continues to thrive for many years. Filled with friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Well some of the rarest birds from the entire country can be seen here, not to mention some awesome butterfly gardens!!!
