Horrible office. The left hand never communicates effectively with the right hand. Every visit is well over 4 or 5 hours. The last one was for a refill of my high blood pressure medicine, ( I had been out for 2 weeks and waiting for an appointment ). I called explained I was on a job and had to drive down 50 miles to be there and I would be about 5-8 minutes late, when I got there, they had put someone else in front of me so I waited an extra hour. When it came time for the doctor to see me (4 hours later) someone came in and told me the doctor had to leave. I asked if they could ask the doctor to at least give me a temporary prescription for the same medication I had been taking until we could reschedule, because I was feeling like my blood pressure was to way to high. And they said they would ask him and call it in. Of coarse the next day it was not available at my pharmacy so I called to find out if they had asked the doctor and he refused to issue it or did try forget to ask the doctor. I was put on hold for 20 minutes then told that the doctor was now refusing to see me as a patient because the year before I had to deal with an assortment of idiotic excuses from that office and now I was not welcome there! Which is perfectly fine with me, It’s not a place I wanted to be attended to because in every other medical appointment I have always been treated with respect and someone with a brain, this office is in serious lack of respect, compassion and simple coordination skills. They give the medical profession in the RGV a bad name and It’s no wonder why Dr Rugama is not allowed to practice or visit his patients in most of the local hospitals.

They take walk-ins and there's almost no waiting in the lobby. Professional and friendly staff.
