I am amending my review to four stars as the owner has dealt with my slight concern immediately. The coffee is still the best I've had in mirfield and quality of the food is very good and tasty. I can't wait to go back when the play area is open as I think my youngest child will love it. Thanks for your personal approach Ben I really appreciate it.

I can not recommend this place highly enough. It truly is “a sanctuary for parents” with babies and small children. It’s more than a place to eat and for kids to play. It’s become a community. The owner is keen to support local businesses and also works with many parents with businesses (eg the cake supplier). I can so highly recommend the brownies!! If you have a baby or small child and want to go somewhere where the kids are safe, have fun and you, as a grown up, don’t have to compromise on food and drink - this place does proper coffees and proper food (not like most kiddy places). The staff are all super friendly and it’s just a great place to be as a parent. Also a great place to visit with non-parent friends. I think it’s a great balance between kids and grown-ups both enjoying their time whilst here. ️️️️️ Note: there are a few steps up into the place which are part of the building. If you have a pram or struggle with steps, ring the door bell and a member of staff will come out to help you up the stairs (and out again when you leave) They’ve thought of everything!

The venue itself was welcoming and family friendly so that part I can’t fault at all. However, it was overpriced for what it was. I paid 11.50 for a crepe and a can of coke, whilst my friend paid 13 for a plain crepe with two cans of coke which seems extortionate. I wouldn’t mind paying this price if I thought that the food was of that standard, but it really wasn’t. Quite overpriced for someone on maternity leave to pay these prices in my opinion. Wouldn’t visit again in afraid.

Excellent food, and outstanding service! Food service was quick and reasonably priced for the quality. The mummy's who were breastfeeding were automatically brought a glass of water without even asking which I thought was a lovely touch. Staff were very attentive and friendly, will definitely be returning. A place the owner should be very proud of.
