Mira Loma was a Los Angeles Jail facility 30 years ago. The SD closed it as a county lockup when it opened newer Jails downtown and in Castaic. Mira Loma was not idle for long. The county now operates it on a contract basis for the U.S. Feds as an immigration detention facility. Three meals a day, and a pad to sleep on. They will leave a light on.
