Not quite the same as Nye's Polonaise Room, but a hint of what was once the polka capital of Nordeast Minneapolis! Had a great time. Fun atmosphere. Friendly bartenders. Music had lots of us singing along. Extra friendly patron bought me a drink and a shot for me and my honey.

Was late arriving in Minneapolis and excited about meeting my new friend for the first time. After a brief introduction we decided to continue our conversation. As we walked into Nye's I felt the cozy atmosphere instantly calm and relax. The barmaid was a beautiful young lady, very friendly with a warm smile and the drinks were perfect, very delicious. There was also a guy on piano with a nice voice and great taste in music which I found to be particularly enjoyable. Everyone was very friendly, seemed to be enjoying themselves and having a great time, as did I. It was a wonderful experience and one I would highly recommend.

Was a newly rebuilt bar, that has some history to it. Had a fairly large group with me, when we moved two tables together we got an attitude from the bartender, big time. When confronted about it she claimed it wasn't her issue but her bosses about us moving the tables. Needless to say we finished our drinks, moved the tables back and left to go next door. I would suggest the bar but only if there is a different bar tender than what we had. And FYI, they don't serve food.
