Ming Xiang Tai Pastry sell variety of nice and tasty pastry such as Trishaw Egg Tart, Traditional Cantonese Pastry and Handmade Soya Bean. Their crispy kaya puff, trishaw egg tart and salted egg pastry are the most popular among tourists. My favorite is their kaya puff, It is made of golden puff pastry coated with yolk, filled with a generous amount of kaya prepared using pandan leaves and coconut cream. If you taste it when it is hot, the pastry has a superb flavour
Very traditional local food restaurant/ bakery. Local flavor in an old local residence. Food are authentic traditional style. Great place to sit down and relax after a Long walk around the city.
Was blessed to get a fresh batch come out. Egg custard was firm, crust was very flaky and crunchy.
Amazing decorations.. it makes me feel nostalgic looking at so many of old style decorations (old iron, lamp, torch light, weighing scale). My mom and I very much enjoyed sitting at their courtyard, sipping healthy black soy bean milk and having soybean pudding. They also sell char siew peah which looks good although we didn’t try since we are counting our calories. The shop offers healthy and indulgent items that you can choose from.
The egg tarts are extremely fresh and tasty. Other Chinese pastries are delicious too where the Kaya puffs were generously filled with Kaya. There are also herbal drinks that are great during hot season.
