Amazing! Must visit and use steam engine train to visit Dunster Castle from West Somerset Train Station

A stunningly beautiful place to visit with loads of nature to see and places to explore. High up views can be found on the first walk, as there is a one way system due to covid-19, the second walk takes you down to the water wheel and a beautiful woodland park for kiddies. Dogs are allowed to visit and there is a small cafe outside with some hot foods and cream tea etc, a great day out.

The organisation in place to deal with the current pandemic is outstanding. A clearly marked one way system allows safe social distancing as well as access to most areas. A great way to spend a few hours, enjoy a pleasant walk and even stop for a coffee in the garden. Easy to book online to reserve a time to visit. Highly recommended.

First weekend of the autumn lockdown. The family needed to get out in the fresh air. Dunster always delivers. TNT have set out a long winding walk around the grounds and even some areas of the castle we have never explored. The autumn colours looked spectacular today. We also walked around the village which looked otherworld my, I have never seen it so empty.

This is one of the best NT properties. The garden and woods surrounding the castle are stunning, it's such a pleasure to walk around among the variety of flowers and trees, over the bridges. The castle as well has beautiful pieces like the wooden staircase-take your time to look at the engravings! Absolutely a must see!
