Very quiet and peaceful place. Nice comfortable and clean room (make sure you get 1 of the 2 rooms on the 1st floor facing the pool side). Small but adequate pool. Hammocks. The works. Great stay.
Ok, but you could do better at a lower price. Nice staff and mattress, but bring your own pillow if you visit.

I got married in the village of the Retiro and my family rented the whole house for that weekend. The bedrooms are very clean, spacious, nicely decorated, with amazing views, and the beds were very comfortable. All 15 of us really enjoyed our stay in the Retiro. The location is perfect, both next to the lake and next to the centre of the village. Margarida was very accommodating with our special requests. She allowed us to have pre-wedding party in the patio/garden area for about 80 people on that Friday evening, where everyone had great fun. Overall, we were all very pleased with our stay and we would highly recommend it!
Quiet, room with garden view, large breakfast but unsurprising. Good location but you need a car to visit the cultural sites.
