Okipanda Chan

Delicious eel family restaurant. Their excellent knowledge makes the eel perfectly grilled together with their superb secret sauce. It's on the main road going around lake Kawaguchi. They are quite busy on weekend. Better call ahead.

Though is not near to any red line bus stop but this restaurant offer tasty local meals at a affordable price. It seems to be popular with tourist which can be crowded during lunch time. The serving is prompt after placing the order. They have English menu which help in decision. The menu variety is wide - don, set meal, udon and many others. Will come back if there is chance.

This place is just beyond the touristy stretch but very easy to walk to. Crowded with tourists, but strong local flavor. We got the traditional udon with mushrooms. Tempura was not crispy but still fresh and overall good. Highly recommended!

Cute little place ran by a couple elderly ladies. The service was fast and the food was good. All within a very traditional setting. No complaints!
