This A&W is the perfect road trip stop for me everytime I am leaving Halifax to go on a longer distance. Just outside of Truro, it is easy to pull off and easy to access. They give great service and were one of the first ones to start using the cardboard straws, which I love about how forward planning A&W always tries to be. They were also one of the first to introduce the Beyond Meat burger.

Waited for too long in the drive thru given that it was lunchtime, there was nobody in front of me and all I ordered was some onion rings. They were delicious, but I wanted a quick snack and ended up waiting longer than I should have.
Great except for all the industrial seed oils which cause oxidative stress. Read Deep Nutrition by Cate Shanahan for more information.
Really pleasant experience with a staff member in the drive through. I didn't get their name but they were a really sweet and friendly employee. Literally the best A&W experience.
Located inside the Needs convenience store. They have a popular drive thru as well. I wanted a Beyond burger but they said I'd have to wait 15 minutes. Makes no sense because the person in front of me got one right away. I suppose they ran out or weren't managing the kitchen properly.
Great food! Didn't get our order right or give us straws. What we ate was tasty.
Pulled in and asked for two beyond meat burgers. Was told they we're cleaning the grills which is totally fine, understand they need to get things done and care about their cleaniness. However I even offered to wait for them to finish and have them cooked but was just told we still can't do it. Gutta love a can't do it attitude staff even when customers are willing to be patient.
