Relaxed atmosphere. Helpful staff. Generous portions. Affordable prices. Burger was grilled in an egg grill. Was super juicy and delicious. Definitely recommending. Indonesian style mackerel was smoked and baked in a cast iron skillet. Perfectly fishy, spicy and comforting. Interesting experience!

The appetizer was way too spicy and the service could have been better
Great venue in the heart of Middelburg. We were seated on the first floor in the back, in between some other diners. De Herberg feels very homely, like a big house. We had ribs and Pepesan for dinner (the latter being a spicy Indonesian prepared fish dish). According to my friend, the ribs were juicy and tender and slid right of the bone. The pepesan was good in taste; a bit of an awkward combination with the roti pancake, but somehow it worked. Our desserts were cheesecake and the house special, a chocolately-strawberry thingy. Overall atmosphere is great and I guess one of the more popular places in Middelburg. We would come again! :)
CityCenter kindness overloaded :) Great pubrestaurant in the city center in Middelburg-great staff cordial and kindly smily people- make the atmosphere a must stay. Definitively reccomended
