I used to be in the trade and now retired I no longer have a workshop so I took a lantern clock here for a service. It was made in the late 19th century and has an 8 day movement. I was pretty sure it only needed a good clean but was surprised to be told the main spring needed replacing and it would cost 1104. I was astonished. This was a blatant attempt to rip me off. I'm sad to say many of people who don't know about these things would accept this. I took the clock away and to another company in Norwich where I had the work done for 160. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY

Excellent and efficient service on my IWC Pilot XV watch. Power reserve restored to IWC spec and regulated to under 3 seconds a day. Bill came in at their original estimate, not the cheapest but with an expensive watch you want the best.
Had to use Michlmayr on two occasions. Excellent customer service and they really are very efficient. Highly recommended.
Just needed a battery replaced and the service was professional and quick. Great people to deal with.
They replaced a battery in my daughter's Tag watch in 30 minutes including a pressure test and all for just 45 . First class service.
