My husband and I visited M.J.R yesterday and we had a pleasurable experience. (Nice break from dining downtown Chicago)Our server was Ryan and he was attentive, professional, and courteous. We dined in their outdoor tent and the temperature was warm and comfortable; the heat came on intermittently so there was a great balance. It wasn't too hot and never cool/cold. The music (Motown's classics) was enjoyable too. The food was delicious and hot; decent portions as well. Honestly, the entire staff that we interacted with was great.

Happy Birthday to my fiancé Antonio- who shares a birthday with MJ! My subtle request were met with minimal communication. This restaurant is very attentive to detail. They don’t leave dirty plates linger on your table. The hostess/or manager came around and took plates away and asked how everything is going. When I called to say I would be 5 minutes late they did not ask who I was- yes, this is proper phone etiquette. Everything we had was delicious. I would highly recommend the garlic bread and crab cake appetizer. The BLT salad is good. I had the filet mignon and my fiancé had the Delmonico. We both added a lobster tail which was delicious- next time I will add two. Our waiter Edgar I believe was great; he was not overly present but also never absent. The drinks were also on point we had Prosecco and the zombie sangria. Ciao
Wow! This is the best damn steak place I have ever been to. The steak I had was juicy, tender and had a load of flavour. The jus on top was well matched. My wife had a seafood dish and said that was great. Perfectly seasoned. Dessert was a 23 layered chocolate cake was excellent. Highly recommend.
Pros good food menu is shorter than usual, Cons if you RSVP online be aware that even though the option of indoor dinning is available online it is not! Overall pretty decent during a pandemic.
We had the chicken spring rolls (so good), the garlic bread (yum), the lobster ravioli (so creamy & good), & the sea bass (cooked to perfection - I might ask for the soy sauce on the side next time). Dessert was peanut butter pie (SO GOOD - almost a buttery whipped texture) & the ganache (the fudge in the middle is yum). Our waitress Sam was lovely, she gave us a tour on request, & when we mentioned it was his birthday she gave us his dessert for free, adding a birthday wish to the plate too. Great experience, will return! Thanks Sam!
