Very friendly and cozy atmosphere but the menu prices have not been updated so don't be surprised if you get charged more and there is a sign that says Cash Only right below where it says that there is a 0.99 credit card fee (which is a lot). The food was underwhelming; the meat felt like it was overcooked but nonetheless, I am giving a 4 star because I really liked the vibes from the place.

I first came here about 4 years ago, and I'm surprised to say between the 4 years ago I came here and my most recent visit the quality has only somehow managed to get better despite it being top notch to begin with.
If the old people are there don't order, they can't cook and they give you really small portions. Only order if the pretty lady is there.
ALL Burritos are generous. When you ask for carne asada, you get carne asada. Not a burrito filled with rice and beans and a trace of meat. Bean burritos are delicious. My shop has been coming here for over 15 years. You'll be hard pressed to find better.
I love this place. I used to frequent here while I was in the Navy. I went 14 years without visiting, but never forgot. I visited LA 2 years ago and convinced my local friends to make the drive down to SD. They had me worried because I've spoken so highly of the food here that what if it's not as good as I remember. Crisis averted, as it was every bit as good, if not better. The California Burrito here is one of my favorite meals anywhere. I love it, and I'll always make it back when I visit CA.
