A life changing experience for anyone interested in physics, engineering and science. Really wirth a visit especially when wirks going on for a better view of internal components. Guides were helpfull and knowledgeable and would recommend enquiring at reception for availability
Obviously a very cool place. If you ever have the chance to go underground and see this machine, do so! It's fantastic. Taking a tour to the visitor's centre is a good addition/alternative. Take note of the fantastic 10k pieces Lego model of ATLAS ;)
ATLAS is one of the detectors of the LHC at CERN. Which can detect subatomic particals. We had a quite nice tour with one of the staff a doctorals student. He could explain a lot in a nice and sufficient detail. We couldn't see the detector itself but the control center see the picture.
If you can see the cavern, do it. Very intresting if you want to know anything about the universe.

Interesting visit, not only for physics enthusiasts, but for everyone. What they have discovered here, which led to many modern accomplishments and advancements, even in medicine, is amazing. Definitely recommend.
