Went for the first time! My two vegetarian roomates got the burritos with grilled veggies and shared a pupusa and raved all the way home! We spilt a pitcher of margaritas and got two drinks each, 6 total from the pitcher. It was great! Service was excellent, I loved the al pastor and chorizo tacos; delicious! The mojito was also fantastic. Will definitely be coming back. Lots of outdoor seating on the sidewalk around the corner and no extra steps into the restaurant.

This place should have a line of people trying to get in, because it is hard to find a good quality mexican cousin nowadays and this place is one of those rare restaurants. Servers are always so sweet and attentive, their food I can eat every day, their drinks are as good as their food. Already brought my friends here and definitely coming back for more food

Great food, excellent service and an arlington institution for 20 years. Burros are top notch and the standard for others to meet. Service is great with friendly bartenders and staff and the same conscientious and amazing owner since they opened. Margaritas are great and available in a skinny version with less sugar.

Sad to be posting a bad review of Mexicali Blues, as I used to love this place! The food is good and reasonably priced and the margarita pitchers are great. However, during my past two visits here, the service was absolutely terrible thanks to the waitress we had both times. On both occasions, she forgot the guacamole we ordered and gave me a margarita to drink with my meal when I asked for a vodka soda. We asked her if she could please bring the correct drink and the guacamole we ordered, she apologized and said she would bring it out, walked away and never came back with the correct orders. My boyfriend ended up drinking the extra margarita she brought out and I ate my meal without anything to drink. She did not bring water or chips to our table either and we only had one set of silverware. To top it all off, when we got the bill, we had been charged for the guacamole that we never received. She took so long to come back to our table that it wasn’t even worth pointing out the issues. Very disappointed with how the service here has declined. Previous wait staff was much better. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
