I am from out of town, moving to the Gilbert area and had the opportunity to visit this market / Indian food restaurant. I entered the store and the check staff and help just stared at me as I made my way to the cafe. There was no one eating and the cook and wait staff were taking in the back as they saw me standing at the counter for 10 min. Finally I walked out, right passed the checker who said nothing, knowing I was standing and waiting for service just 20 feet from him. Makes me think the reason I wasn’t serviced was “ I wasn’t Indian”? Not sure but I won’t be trying this place. To bad Indian food is my favorite. They need some help with attentive manners and customer service if they are going to stay in business.
Amazing and tasty food! I loved the sauces! I’m a vegan and ordered the Samosa (2 piece) and the Choley Kathi Wrap. The cashier was super helpful and told me which items in the menu were vegan, which were almost all of them. They have pastries but I didn’t try any because I was so full from the yummy food. It’s inexpensive and worth it!
I love the food served in Lotus Deli Indian kitchen. You will get an authentic Indian vegetarian food like chole bhature, samosas, veg biryani, rolls, vada paav, veg thali, lassi and any varieties. This shop is inside Lotus International food store. Whenever I go to buy groceries here, this kitchen entice me to get some tasty food and fulfill my appetite. Once, you have their chole bhature.. you will be in love with it.
Excellent value once you get past the odd name (and confusion with similarly Lotus named non Indian joints.). Lotus India Deli is a clean and well lighted store with good kitchen. Wide aisles and abundant quantities of a variety of foods, and brands. Restaurant area is tidy and serves flavorful - mostly Northern India - entrees, and adequate snacks a bit short on South Indian. Cooler items are great. All food and dish items are affordably priced, and are a better value than other similar stores. Helpful staff. I like it when I spend my money here!
