So, if you have time for one museum in Normandy, this is the one to go to. Walk at your own pace, the exhibitions are well done and there is a ton of information. It really shows you how the whole operation hinged on taking these batteries down. The media show is a must. Nothing like it in the area

A lovely place to visit. Improvements being done at present with new entrance building being completed. We were lucky to be there and see the re-enactment of the D Day landing by the parachute regiment. It was an amazing experience with wonderful special effects. My thanks and praise go to all those involved in putting this together. Very moving as seen on 75th anniversary of D Day. I look forward to visiting again.

Must visit of in Normandy. See the site of one of three most daring D-Day raids. 700 men were supposed to assault the battery. But only 150 arrived at the rendezvous point. They attacked nonetheless and around 2/3 were killed or injured. Many lost their lives carrying out a mission that ultimately saved the lives of many more landing on Sword beach. It's a stirring site with excellent exhibits.

I visited this battery with a friend of my during a d-day tour we did. At first we thought the museum was about the technical specifications about the battery and the bunkers. But when we arrived we found out that the battery is more about the hero's who conquered the battery on the first day of d-day. This is a great story and they tell a lot about the battle itself. But i find it too directed. This because everywhere were lines so you don't walk on the grass. The bunkers were all transformed to memorials or cinemas. And you can't go into the Dakota when you are not with a tour guide. I think there are better battery in the neighborhood. This is more for the mass tourism. Don't understand me wrong the story of these hero's is great and it deserve our respect.

An excellent location to experience what the Normandy invasions were all about. Lot's of remaining bunkers to visit, with the museum being located insider the bunkers themselves. You learn all about the raid on this battery including interesting stuff about use of gliders in the attack. A restored C47 airplane is on premises to round out the collection. The sound and light show inside the last bunker is as intense as they make it sound. For a few minutes you feel like you're in the bunker while it's under attack from bombers and infantry. Definitely not for little kids. I appreciate the effort the folks who maintain this site went to making this a memorable experience.

Incredible achievement of only 150 men out of 650. Fantastic experience and all well kept.
