Highly recommend this hike. Best so far. It's an intermediate level so make sure you have had done some training first as it is a steep incline coming back. But views are stunning

Scenic walk along high-standing cliffs. Magnificent views. 1 hour return to car park. One of the best short walks in the Waitaks.
Beautiful walk. Have done it twice and luckily enough to have lovely weather both times. Well defined path with several lookout ponts. You can continue and walk down to Karekare Beach as well though the path to the beach is not defined as the Mercer Bay Loop walk.
Beautiful, majestic, serene.. didn't feel a walk too distracted with the beauty of nature-luscious green and the orchestrated beating of the waves- mesmerized. Breath taking but, do take extra care around cliff edges.
A fantastic short walk which is 2.2km long. I took less than 40 minutes to complete, including lots of photo stops for magnificent views of natural surroundings. A must-do. Highly recommended.
Gorgeous loved it don’t walk out on the cliffs unless you’re skilled in balancing it’s such a beautiful walk and nice for selfies on the edge
Amazingly beautiful views throughout the walk, can't believe I just discovered it. Coming back to the carpark can be challenging but the scenery makes it worthwhile. Highly recommended.
What a fantastic way to spend the afternoon. West Coast is incredible. We only did the loop, not the additional track. Take lots of water, a hat and sunscreen. It’s tricky in some areas if you’re afraid of heights. Busy when we went in Jan. Handy hint, there is a car park at the top of the narrow gravel road but it may be full so park down the bottom if you can. Lots of rest areas. Take your time and enjoy.
