Mel's is a place I have gone to for 30 . I found it very peaceful on this day. The counter swiffle seats are gone. I'm sure the locals hate social distancing law. But as we ate and drank it got pretty busy. The food is good. Regular diner menu. Spouse ate it all and I took 1/2 my sandwich home. I took the meat out and put in baggie fridge. One fresh roll tomorrow and another great lunch. Probably a lb of meat in each lunch order. I love it.

So if you happen to remember the show \Alice\ from the 70's here is a the diner where it was filmed. The beef noodle soup was served piping hot and full of flavor. Had a perfect spice to it and was very tasty. Ordered the Philly Cheesesteak for lunch and the green peppers/onions were nice and hot. While the meat was a bit in the skimpy side and the bun was a traditional roll. The fries were ok. Overall I will return and try some more food from Mel's Diner and I look forward to it.
The food is pretty good. If you're coming in to bathe in nostalgia, stop at the front door. Inside, the restaurant is no longer the bright open interior you remember. That's not to say that it doesn't have charm. There's plenty of that.
Delicious, everything was cooked perfectly! It was reasonably priced and the staff were awesome! This place is a gem!
