Was there in 1963 with VMO-2. VS-1 was the bird that I was crew chief on. Loved flying around the island.
Stationed on the Rock in 86.... Things have truly changed.

I was stationed here from 94-95 with the HMM-262 "Flying Tigers" 46 Squadron. Luckily I had 4.5 months of sea duty, got to see a lot of S.E. Asia and wasn't stuck on the "Rock" for the full 12 months. I also got my Shellback while down around Indonesia. I got to see a lot of cool places and plenty of sea stories!!
I was there in 71-72. Great place, thoroughly enjoyed the people and the island. And yes, BC street was there and as crazy as always. We used to party in the caves on the cliff at the Nakagasuku Castle.
Was there 94-95 with MWSS 172. Hard to believe it was that long ago.
