Cardiac issues necessitated calling the Triage Nurse (Rachel), from 300 miles away. As a traveling Disabled Veteran, Age 80, I was referred to Uvalde Memorial Hospital E R, immediately! Dr David Blackburn was OUTSTANDING and the Staff were true Heroes! Have been to McAllen VA Clinic several times this year and was always welcomed with open arms, by friendly, hard working folks!! The Pharmacy has been accurate and prompt in sending refills! This facility and employees DEFINATELY deserved a five star rating!!! Thanks to all! D. Hart, USAF Disabled Vet. Age 80. i recently moved here from houston,texas McAllen VA Clinic is very very clean the staff is very polite and explains everything. not compared to VA in Houston which some of the staff is very rude and its very hard to get some clinics to answer the phone. I am very impressed with the McAllen VA Clinic.
