Great hiking spot to start from, there are many trails branching from this point. Parking can be hard to find on nice days and weekends though

Love this place. Lots of different paths to take. Can get easily lost if you try to take a different trail then the one you take up, so be prepared. Beautiful trails though and wonderful view from the top.

I have not utilized the bike trail with a bicycle yet, but as a student at OSU, many of my lab classes took me out to various areas of this forest. In my opinion, the public recreation areas in McDonald are really special, and it made me feel good to see so many people using these areas. What could be better than a free local adventure, while simultaneously getting in shape and taking in nature? If you are looking for some challenging bike trails, this seems to be a pretty good location to check out just based on all the people I've seen in all public areas of McDonald, and all the online maps of bike trails. Make sure you check online to see if there are any closures since anything from slides to trail maintenance could be going on. Also remember that you might encounter wildlife, so take proper precautions for you and the animal you encounter.
