What an amazing little spot, I would not advise going down as I did unless you're about as steady on your feet as a mountain goat its doable but potentially dangerous....
Great place if you are into abandoned places, shipwrecks and other ruins. This place is somewhat hard to spot from the trail and you have to climb down a bit to get the best view, but it’s worth it. If you manage to see this place when it’s foggy (not unlikely in Cornwall) then it is more eerie than ever and you might get goosebumps.
The ship, for anyone who wants to know, is the RMS Mülheim, a german cargo ship, which was once almost 90m long, that ran aground in 2003, It had been carrying 2,200 tonnes of scrap plastic. Definitely an amazing view and well worth the visit. However, if you plan to get close, the way down is quite treacherous aswell as an abundance of sharp and rusty metal peices, so definitely take care.
Interesting to be up close to, not the sort of attraction you get to see everyday. It's a real life ship wreck! It's a bit of a difficult drop down, no real path so have to be careful and make sure you've got plenty of support. It's easier to get back up, even if it is more tiring. Definitely not likely to see anything like this again, especially outside a museum. A must see as part of a lovely walk along the coast.
