Good for kids
I moved to Brisbane a year ago and wanted the best possible place for my daughter to continue to learn dancing. Her schedule was busy and I didn't want her to "loose her precious time". So I browsed and studied all possibilities and found Maximo Dance Studio. If you think like me and want quality teaching, you will be very happy here ! Seriously, Maximo Dance Studio is amazing. Just wait for the end of the year concert to be completely blown away ! I knew my daughter had made huge progresses but seeing her shine, like ALL the other dancers, was breathtaking. They found a way to give great moments to each child and to show their progresses and talents. The teachers and managers are excellent. 5 stars ***** out of 5 for Maximo !! Alexandra M.-G.

I have only one word to say - wow. This studio has given me the best ballet experience in my life. When I started my lessons, I have never studied ballet or any other dance style professionally. Thanks to Maximo Dance Studio, I was able to try out this beautiful dance style and feel like a real ballerina.
Maximo Dance Studio is my first and only dance studio & I really enjoy dancing here. I started dancing at Maximo when I was already almost 13 years old, and I have never ever danced before or did any other similar physical activity. Despite this, somehow, the teachers here managed to coach me to an exceptional level in classical ballet for someone like me, who started so late. When I first joined Maximo, I could not believe that I could do such complex things that I do now, that I could ever do double pirouettes, but now I can! It is a miracle! The uniform designed for our studio is very unique and stylish. Teaching here is of such high quality, since joining I had a chance to compare it to a few other teaching styles at holiday programs, and nowhere I else I felt such fast progress. Classes are so productive that I see myself how fast I am improving. Through tremendous effort, I even got a “Commended” in my Intermediate Grade Classical Ballet exam, missing a “Distinction” only by 3 points! As a result of great work of this studio, students here achieve a lot in the world of professional dance, like becoming students of Queensland Ballet and Queensland National Ballet and taking part in Brisbane City Youth Ballet and Ballet Theatre of Queensland ballet productions. The atmosphere in the studio is also really friendly amongst students, I’ve made lots of friends here and have a lot of fun with my little dance family. As I fell in love with ballet from the beginning of my time at Maximo, I now aspire to become a professional ballet dancer, not matter what it takes, and know that it is only through training at Maximo that I might just still have the chance to enter the magical world of professional ballet.
My daughter absolutely loves ballet and is very happy to be attending Maximo dance studio. She started ballet lessons for the first time only last year, she was already 13 years old then. I am impressed with the huge & fast progress she has made already! All staff are highly professional and I witnessed how thoroughly the new staff members are selected. Thanks to the excellent management, the range of class styles covers everything a young dancer could wish for! Don't believe to those who are whining in certain reviews, this is a great school & professional ballet is hard work and therefore demands full contribution and dedication not only from a student, but also parents.
Top Quality ballet instruction that fuses strictness, gentleness, fun and love into a wonderful learning environment. Our three year old has declined every offer to attend a local ballet academy, as she loves the teacher, the learning environment with all the other girls and the opportunities to grow in her skills, confidence and can't stop dancing after each class... So we travel 100km to and fro, twice a week!
Our daughter loves doing ballet at Maximo Studios, and it definitely shows as she prances around the house any time music is playing. This is a proper ballet school with formal teaching and a relatively strict regime combined with a fun atmosphere. She will be at this school until she decides she no longer wants to dance. Just wish we'd discovered it sooner.
The teachers are absolutely superb! I have learnt so much and have loved learning at Maximo ever since I was 3 years of age! This studio is a great place for an aspiring dancer, giving the students a great basic technique, many amazing performance opportunities, and really helpful and great classes of classical, contemporary, national and stretch and strengthening. We took our 6 month old daughter to an end of year concert and she was immediately fixated on the gorgeous costumes and performances. We can't wait for her to start lessons at Maximo when she turns two! We are confident she will be in great hands.
