Affordable and amazing range of oriental products. All kinds of noodles and soy sauce, plus bao buns, rolls, fruit, nuts, so much for your cupboards. Nice section with ceramic plates too.

I love shopping in here when I am in Glasgow. Although I do not know what all the items are or even how to cook with them I like to experiment. Pick up many of my spices here at a decent price and decent size of soya sauce compared to the tiny ones supermarkets sell. Also get large pack of bicarbonate of soda. Lasts me ages and great for cleaning around the house. Every time we shop here we buy something different to add some variety to our meals. Just wish it was nearer where we stay.
Excellent service and excellent selection of Asian products much smaller than see woo but cheaper and more choice of certain goods, particularly Thai & Korean seeweed snacks, recommended
I've been using Matthews for a very long time and in that time I've found the staff to be extremely friendly. One thing I did appreciate was that they allowed me to enter the shop with my mini dachshund, providing she was kept under my under and off the shop floor as well as away from any fresh food. Today was a complete 180 degree change. I got two steps into the shop and the manager asked me to leave immediately pointing outside. No reason why the change in attitude. Possibly a change in manager, but whatever reason it was, I wasn't given any. This being the case, it might be useful to put up a o dogs\ sticker on the shop window. I'm not going to give it 1 star as I know it's well stocked and with the exception of the managers behaviour today, the staff in general are friendly and helpful. I just fail to see how in the 4-5 years I've been going in with the dog that today was different, but ok, it is what it is, at least the dog got a 50 minute walk out of it.
Very welcome Asian supermarket. Predominantly Chinese but with a selection of Japanese, Korean, and Indian goods too. Generally this place is cheaper than SeaWoo. Worth checking both this place and nearby ChongYing as sometimes one is cheaper than the other. Sometimes vice versa. Has the amazing tangy Star Gold ketchup which you've unknowingly consumed for years at Chinese buffet places in giant 5L bottles. Winning.
