Horrible place. The staff are very degrading, inapropriate, too aggressive during restraints some youth end up with broken bones, and injuries, they do not control the youth. The youth practically run the place, the get rewarded for bad behavior, none of the staff are supportive. Some of the staff act like the youth. Are not very upholding with the policies of the facility. Allow youth to fight in the rooms. The staff allow youth to use drugs in the pace. The Facility is ridden with drugs and contraband. Overall a very horrible place and needs to be shut down.

This institution is NOT suitable for humans. The juveniles RUN this facility. Negative behavior is rewarded more so than good behavior. There are fight on a daily basis almost hourly. Kids that are sent here for help and programs do not get it. As a matter of fact at THIS TIME there is a program that is not being ran because the instructors have quit. Correctional Officers are attacked by these \KIDS\ and they do not defend themselves because they are not \permitted to\. NEW kids that come in are being bullied for their meals and snacks, getting their shoes taken, getting their commissary taken and being made to FEAR for their lives. Surrounding business' have called the police for juveniles being on THE ROOF of the Indian River Facility. This facility should not even be the state's programs.
