The staff were friendly and helpful. They were all wearing their face masks properly too! Excellent attentive table service in these challenging times. The food was served piping hot and there was plenty of it. Just a general pub food menu, but something for everyone and they even did gluten free options. Nice atmosphere. A thumbs up from us!

Sheltered here from the rain with our whippet. The staff were super friendly warm and welcoming. We were warned that the kitchen was just about to shut. so we had chips and teas. Both were excellent. It wasn’t busy but the people we did chat to were also very friendly. The decor was cosy and traditional with an open fire. I would definitely seek this place out again over other pubs in the town. Really glad e we got caught out in the rain today.

I have been using The Masons Arms off and on for about 40 years. Always found it to be a great middle range pub. Good food, friendly staff, great real ale selection that changes regularly.

What a find! Needed to meet up in an area we didn't know so googled pubs in Bury St Edmunds. This one stood out. Food was great. Staff superb. Food was tasty and well presented. One way system in operation within the pub- 90% adhered to it.

Nice selection of beers and nice beer garden. Went in February yet was still nice to sit outside. Have a good selection of beers at a reasonable price, at least compared to somewhere like Cambridge or London and generally good atmosphere
