I doubt we are the only customers have problems with this construction company. I share mine here as I felt bad to have anyone else suffer the same as we do. We did whole main and second floor renovation last year., and it is written in the contract any problems due to quality reason or by accident, there’s 3-year warranty. I believe the company owner is a nice person, and try to deliver good renovation project, but his workers are not qualified for good job. During the renovation, the city inspectors had to come several times as the plumbing and structural work did not comply with Ontario building code, as the workers are unfamiliar with local codes. Till now, it is only about 10 months: first a few months we had lots of tiles loosened, and some tile cracked. The workers came said don’t know how to fix the cracked tile, the loosen tile they just put some glue in the gap, and left with big mess, my husband and I ended up fixing the loosen tile by ourselves. Then the railing was loosened, had to keep calling and waiting for over month to have someone some and fix it… Several doors were not aligned well…The fire alarm they put right in the front of wall oven, one time it went off, my husband covered the fire alarm with a plastic bag, Recently, I told the contractor, whenever I use the oven, it triggers the fire alarm as it is right above the oven, which professional contractor does that?!... Regardless, I messaged and called the construction owner again and again, no reply… Hope he will rely back and fix the problems as promised… Attached some photos of our house I would give 2-star for their skill set, 3-star for their overall work (design, material, basic work, etc.), 3-star for their service.

The most important thing to know as homeowners is that the owner of Yixin, Niko, is a very trustworthy good person, no bs, honest, manages his team well, and takes responsibility. We did a full bathroom reno including full demolition, door location moved to better spot, electrical moved, dual vanity (upgrade from a single vanity), tiles, shower, pot lights, mirrors etc. We also did a front door foyer pole and platform removal, light installation, and re-tiling. We were happy with the quality for the price. No reno is perfect throughout the whole process, especially when full demolition is involved so things did come up but the key is Niko solved it all for us smoothly and made us feel very safe and taken care of in the end. Now we look at the foyer and bathroom and feel like we made the right choice going with Yixin.

Niko the owner hasn't responded to my calls about a Reno that we were discussing. I think they closed and he couldn't bother to even let me know.

Niko and team were always helpful and provided only non-biased recommendations. They were not pushy and did not try to up sell in any way. The renovation job Niko and team provided me included pot lights, paint throughout the house, new hardwood flooring and the installation of new light fixtures. Niko is very passionate about providing quality and satisfaction for his clients. I am very satisfied and will definitely use their expertise and service again in the future! Thank you so much!
