Sugu Drones is the right place for training and tests. I got a high-quality learning experience here. My instructor Soreign Jackson is highly professional. He explained all details about drone operations and conducting thoroughly, precisely and clearly. It was clarity and consistency all the time. As a student, I felt comfortable, enjoyed the process and had fun. I very much appreciate his patience and help. I was prepared for the test very well and passed it without any problem. Just completed this training under instructor Soreign Jackson on 23rd November 2018. It's an excellent training course, the Buttonville airport is a very nice facility and my over all experience was great. I would and will recommend this course to anyone interested in drones and safe flying as well as learning more about aviation concepts. I live near London, Ontario and I was enrolled to do a Fanshawe College online version of Transport Canada Compliance course but it was cancelled in September. I opted for SUGU even though the facility is located close to 3 hours drive from my location. I will say this "Cancellation of the Fanshawe College program in September was the best thing that could have happened to me, the level of support and knowledge at SUGU was great and something you can never experience through an online course. At SUGU not only I obtained necessary training certificate to proceed with my Transport Canada Certification but also phenomenal support, these guys really care to see their students go on and apply their studies in whatever business application you may need your UAV training for. The travel and being away from home for few days for me was well worth it and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again when it comes to taking any additional UAV related training. Thank you SUGU and more specific Soreign for all the help and support.

I came from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan just to receive my advanced drone training from Sugu. That's how far their reputation reaches. I've emerged from this program with my proper advanced certification as well as receiving outstanding one-on-one mentorship. I highly recommend this program. I encourage anyone who wants to fly a drone, or already flies, to take this course, upgrade your knowledge and skills and be ready for the June 1, 2019 regulations which will affect drone flight in Canada.
I just completed my training with Soreign Jackson, and have passed both Small Advanced Exam and Flight Review. The learning experience is amazing and the course is very informative. I highly recommend Sugu Drones!
Preface: I don’t use the following language in this review lightly. Taking this drone advanced operations course with Sugu was the best decision I’ve made all year. Due to random cancellations of other students for my registered session, I ended up getting a one on one instruction from the instructor, Mr. Soreign Jackson (who is a certified commercial pilot and flight instructor). Mr. Jackson is hands down the coolest and most knowledgeable instructor I’ve ever had. There’s no question he really knows his stuff. I haven’t ever before successfully learned and applied such a large amount of material in such a short amount of time. I don’t think I could have passed the exam on the first try, or likely even second or third try if I attempted it without taking the course. It’s by no means an easy exam. You’re heavily time-constrained and it covers a large amount of material. The course material itself is genuinely interesting and I strongly believe every kind of pilot should completely know this material inside out, not for merely passing the exam, but to be a SAFE pilot when you’re actually out there on the field. Don’t be the guy who flys his drone into the turbofan of a 747! Mr. Jackson did a great job teaching the information required to be a safe drone operator and I had a lot of fun through the whole course. I recommend anyone considering getting their advanced operation licence to take this course. You’ll be provided with some material to review before the first class, so make sure you come prepared so you’re not completely lost on the first day. You’ll get a lot more out of it that way.
Great class and amazing instructors. They truly went above and beyond. I was extremely happy about the willingness for there team to spend time with me after class.
I have been impressed by their thoughtfulness, care, and energy for their students. It encourages you and helps you grow when you learn from experienced and passionate teachers. Highly recommeded for those who are looking to be a certified drone operator.
