External turning!! Well, in our case is that my wife is 36.5 weeks and the baby's head is still UP. We still want it the normal delivery vs sea section. We were refer by midwives to Dr Gilmour, he was extremely knowledgeable, and he gave us the options, and risks for the external. At this time, he said our successful rate is 30-40%, so the same week we went to the hospital to do the external turning process, and after 3 tries the baby's head still facing up, so the nurse give us an option rather we should give it one more try, keep in mind, this is EXTREMELY painful process, and at this time, Dr Gilmour said the successful rate now drop to 10-20%, because the first 3 try didnt work. At the 4th try, he turn the opposite side, and the baby's head finally TURNED!! Dr Gilmour is very good at what he does for living, and he is a funny guy too. Trust his experience! Things to expect: -parking fees(4 each half hour) at hospital -mentally prepare/ Physically prepare for plan B, and C - EXTREMELY painful, even for me standing beside the external turning process i could feel my wife's pain(FYI husbands, get your arm out ready for your wife to SQUEEZE) -30 min check up once everything is done.
