Today, June 16, 2021 we had a visit from a gent from ETICOM LTd. Our family had four windows replaced on September 9, 2020. We had requested we would like to have an Iron Ore colour of the windows showing to the street and white inside. When we opened our windows for the first time this season we saw that there was white and black showing to the street. So we called ETICOM Ltd and the rep explained it like this: This is Industry Standard and that when we opened and closed these type of slider windows the paint will peel off. Now to me as a consumer it was the worst explanation of why the windows were not painted to our request or order. He also said that he could not do anything about it. So I simply thanked him for his time. Therefore what I learn't from this company is their after sales service is extremely poor; so basically buyer beware. The first pick shows the slider window closed and the second when I slide open the inside of the second window has not been painted. I just got off the phone with Nordik Windows and they also offer Slider or Hung windows with colors. Guess what they explained; all the panes looking out to the street gets painted with the exterior color and it is not "industry standard". Yes, the color of the interior pane may just get lighter but she explained not to worry as all their windows come with a 25 year warranty and they will be glad to come in and repaint them at no charge. So, I still stay with my opinion that ETICOM LTD is not a good company when it comes to after sales service and we are still within a years warranty.

We bought windows some years ago and they were starting to show their age. We visited Eticom and saw windows that looked like our old ones, but they were different. When we tested them we felt that the windows were strong and the customer service rep told us they were extremely durable. She went on to cite the materials that made the windows strong and why they compared better than other windows on the market. What it came down to was the hardware and the construction of the windows that gave the strength and durability to withstand Canadian weather.
Our patio doors were not looking so great and starting to stick, making it hard to close. We visited the showroom at Eticom – they were recommended – and we were more than impressed by the inventory they had. We settled on a patio door that tilted in and turned that gave our patio a new look. Not to mention the doors are easy to operate and the color scheme matches our interior and exterior nicely. Our backyard neighbours wanted to use this company as well, the look of it is just so unique
At first, we a little apprehensive when the customer service clerk showed us tilt and turn patio doors when we visited the Eticom showroom. After a demonstration, we were sold. The tilt-in feature made it breath of fresh air that the doors provided gave the room a light and airy feeling to it. The inviting atmosphere in the dining room is fantastic. We’re glad we waited to buy the patio door from Eticom, and we feel we got our money’s worth and then some.
We renovated our home, and our back patio door is larger than most standards sizes. We shopped around and found Eticom. They had French-style custom patio door that tilted in. We never had so much natural light in our kitchen, and I can't tell you how much we love it! The price was very competitive, and we're very glad we went with these guys. We had some company over since the installation and our friends all complemented us on the new doors as well! We won't hesitate to recommend Eticom.
We wanted to upgrade our windows to make our home more secure. There had been a rash of break-ins in our neighborhood and the police said it was the windows where the thieves gained entry. When we went to Eticom with our problem, they showed us windows that had excellent locking mechanisms that were next to impossible to break into. We have a two-year-old daughter at home, our nanny spends most days with her, and we needed to improve our home security for peace of mind while we were at work. Eticom made that possible for us. We have never felt so safe and secure in our home since we bought our windows.
We ordered custom-made patio door from Eticom and were prepared to wait for a while to get them made and installed. We weren’t out of the showroom more than a couple of days when the call came that our patio door was ready to be scheduled for install. We have never received such prompt service for any home reno project we engaged than this one with Eticom. The patio door is extremely durable – we had a large dog (of our friends, we housed him for two weeks) and the dog constantly run in and out the doors – bumping into them along the way. The doors stand up to the abuse of our friends' dog put on them through and haven’t been damaged.
I like european windows style plus competitive pricing and great discount. All installation and cleanup have been done within one day. Looks fantastic. I would highly recommend Eticom. Thank you, team!
