The restaurant is very calm & spacious. They only accept walk-in now. Due to max 10 people allowed indoor for dine-in, many people order take outs by phone instead. Their food is still delicious like always. The overall quality of the food & portion are quite consistent.
Reopen experience is good. Food remains good, reasonable price and big in portion. BBQ pork and duck is delicious. Perhaps we went late (after 8pm), not too many waiter or waitress around. Saw customers coming in to restaurant for takeout without mask on, feel bad for the restaurant. Hope they have more staff and be more attentive to those who do not comply with the rule.
This has been our go-to restaurant when we don't want to think about what to eat and want a fast meal (rather than fast food). The atmosphere is comfortable and quite the same across all the Congee Queens. When we went it was past 8 on Saturday and we were lucky to have a table leaving so it took a few minutes before we were sit down as the restaurant was fully occupied. Tips: making reservations beforehand if you know you're going is definitely good. For us, we didn't expect to go so we didn't make any reservations. We normally get the congee, shrimp rice roll and dough fritter rolls along with fried rice or noodles for our family of four. It always fills us up and typically we will have something left over. As we don't normally come to this one, the quality of food seems consistent compared to our last time. Service because it was packed was considered acceptable, could be more friendlier and faster.
