The first word that comes to my mind to describe this museum is IMPRESSIVE ! Dedicated to naval history, you will learn a ton of informations while walking through the many sections, you can literally spend a whole day in here Definetly worth a visit

Just beautiful maritime museum, lots of ship samples from 1500s. You will love it. Entry fee 10 lira. Has elevators to go to other floors if you don’t want to take the stairs or ramp based walks. Bathrooms on first floor. Great cafe at the entrance / exit area. It has inside and outside seating, with lots of seats. Nice clean, nice smiley servers. Gift shop is currently closed. You will enjoy the place, need an hour to walk around.

I really enjoyed visiting this Museum. The naval history of this country is rich and they have a quite a lot of boats as examples out of the Ottoman Era. The details on these ships were amazing! You need at least 3 hours to visit the museum. Don't forget to visit their restaurant afterwards - their cheesecake is to die for!

Small(ish) museum with not so many exhibits. It's focus is on the Sultans' boats and there is nothing more modern, only some model ships. The side exhibits are better and enticing, especially the one about the divers. As the other guides said, an 1 hour museum. Great location though and friendly staff.

Museum is really good with its permanent exhibition, but lacks multimedia support.

I think this is one of the oldest museums in Turkey not only Istanbul, it dates back to 1897. A fast building, I think 4 story with huge halls. They have original ships date back to 16, 17 and 18th centuries. They also have a great thing which many museum fail to do right; have a clear chronological order of areas and event. You need at around 3 hours to enjoy the visit of this place
