I have had decent experiences here and I normally give it 3 stars. I went with the family about a year and a half ago and dumped the salsa out of the jar and into the salsa bowl. A few chips in, I found a used pink packet of artificial sugar inside the salsa Clearly they reuse the salsa from previous tables, so there's no telling what is actually in it. I was very quiet and asked them to take it away. They gave me 10% off my bill. Mexican restaurants menus include tons of foods that last a long time and are fairly cheap like rice and beans. That is why so many of them are able to stick around. Their profit margin are always a huge advantage to other restaurants. There's no need to reuse salsa and there's always better conservative strategies. Not only is it cheap, it tells me a lot about what they think of their customers and what they're willing to do when you're not looking. I shouldn't ever give them my business again but I have a few times since.

The place is clean with a great atmosphere. Staff was efficient and attentive. Guacamole is recommended. Food tastes great.
Trinity is a very nice fast phased waiter. Very good food and good atmosphere. We love coming here for the California burrito and Chile Colorado.
My favorite place in independence! Yummy food and super fun staff. Trinity helped us today but love all of them!
Our waitress Dulce was extremely sweet and quick on her feet. Food was tasty and my flan was decorated so pretty! I have no complaints!
