December 17th, 2015. Tectonic is currently working on a project in the Rossland and Brock area of Whitby. Heavy vehicles heading into their job site have damaged Byron Street North and the boulevard in front of my property by driving their heavy vehicles over the curb, sidewalk and grass boulevard, causing significant damage. (Two neighbours witnessed it). Workers on the site park in no parking areas, such as directly behind the stop sign at Byron Street North and Palmerston Avenue. I notified the city of Whitby By-Law office, and called Tectonic. The receptionist at Tectonic said she is the only person in the office and didn't know who the owner/manager of Tectonic was. She would have 'Anthony' call me. Anthony of Tectonic called and said to complain to the city of Whitby, he wasn't going to drive out to the site to look at the damage. He said the city of Whitby was in charge of Tectonic's project. I'm surprised at the lack of accountability by Tectonic. In my opinion, they don't care about how noisy, destructive or negligent they are being while working in an otherwise quiet, residential area. They were very unprofessional to deal with. If you are considering hiring Tectonic, please come out to this project to have a look at what they will do to the surrounding neighbourhood of your future project. Talk to the neighbours about how they conduct themselves. Ask about property damage. Look around for signs of property damage.
