Great Dance Studio! My daughter moved here to be with friends a couple of years ago and I have been warmly impressed and often appreciative. They have done a great job at creating a positive environment of professionalism, community, growth and creativity. When my daughter wanted to really stretch her abilities as a tween they were wonderfully encouraging, supportive and found a way to help her do that. Likewise, now that she is older and wanting to reduce her classes, they have still been wonderfully supportive in helping her find the right classes and balance -- so many teachers and dancers, there really does seem to be something for almost everyone, and they are dedicated to helping dancers find the right fit. They are also great at sending e-mails and keeping parents up to date with all the information, yet are patient, kind, adaptable and diligent at times when parents struggle to keep up. Overall it's a bit of a longer drive for us (especially when the train goes through), but well worth it.

What a great place! I was looking for a place to learn how to dance for our wedding, we wanted to do a fun, crazy dance for our entrance into the venue. We got Shayla to do a choreography for us, that was so much fun. Me being who I am, a little shy, and the normal stiff guy thing going on, after a couple lessons with her I opened up and felt comfortable around her. She made all our lessons fun, and enjoyable! She also gave us some pointers on our first dance. Both our dances turned out fantastic and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for dance lessons.
Our daughter started dancing with CentreStage Dance when she was five, and she's now 11. She began with recreational classes, and is now part of the competitive and graded ballet programs. The instruction she receives is exceptional, and balances technique, artistry, discipline and fun. The teachers are professional, kind, and provide a safe, inclusive and welcoming place to learn. To be honest, they've become family to us, and to our daughter the studio is her second home. She was anxious and shy when she started, and now she has gained confidence, poise and lifelong friends. Dancers of all ages, sizes and abilities are welcome here, and the teachers are very positive and encouraging, with a special eye for dancers with less confidence or body image issues. I can never imagine dancing anywhere else, and am so thankful to have found such positive role models and leaders to be part of my daughters life.
We have been part of this dance family for ten years. The front end staff are always cheery and have time to say a hello to everyone who walks through the door and even take the time to listen to stories that the young dancers want to share. The instructors are highly trained, extremely patient and skilled to work with a variety of ages and levels. Both my girls have loved the variety of classes they have been involved in, including tap, ballet, hip hop, silks, musical theatre, lyrical and jazz. The owners take pride in their studio and are quick to address any issues that may come up. The yearly Recitals are always well organized, careful planning is evident in the execution of such a large production. Each child has an opportunity to showcase his or her dance; the joy on all their faces shows their confidence, the thunderous applause from the audience compliments a job well done. We highly recommend this studio!
We moved to Maple Ridge 4 years ago and found CentreStage Dance and couldn't be happier. The teachers, dancers, parents and front desk staff are wonderful, caring and supportive. Our daughter is now transitioning into the competitive program - these last four years she has grown her dance skills greatly but it has been the positive changes for her personally that I am most excited about. She has gone from a shy 5 year old to a very confident and expressive 9 year old, I am looking forward to watching her grow with CentreStage! 3 years ago I joined the adult classes and they are the highlight of my week now also. More than just a dance studio, CentreStage is a home away from home. Thanks to everyone involved in making this such a special place!
