Great pastries and good coffee. The place is a meeting spot for locals and feels very friendly. We got our lunch for our long hikes there in the morning. The cheese and prosciutto sandwiches are BOMB!!! Perfect for a long hike. Alternatively the bread can be combined with some local cheese from the supermarket around the corner. After the hike come back and have a coffee, cake, or a beer.

Regular bakery but clearly 5 stars on customer satisfaction. Even all the local restaurants were closed as both for being Monday or late hour (4pm) this lady and very, sincerelly, one of the most pleasant professionals I have met from this industry. At the end we ate a great toasted bread with ham and cheese, she offer some local milk cookies and had a red wine just in the right temperature. At the end still bought some local orange muffins that were esplendid. Visit Manteigas and get coffee, basic meals and tabaco/papers all in the same place. Pão fresco a toda a hora. Na nossa última visita apenas salientar que a cozedura da pastelaria passou do ponto tornando os bolos secos e queimados. Simpatia no atendimento.
