absolutely love manilla's. the food and drink is always perfect and is greatly priced. the view of the marina the outdoor seating area is also absolutely beautiful. staff are all friendly and the place is always clean!

Visited for the second time today as it is such a glorious afternoon and I was dropping something off in Neyland. Last week’s visit was somewhat disappointing: firstly we had ordered baked potato with beans and cheese; cheese was standard on all potatoes but the beans were extra and they didn’t arrive - neither did cutlery with which to eat said potato. We asked about the beans and they eventually arrived in a small dish which had clearly been microwaved for too long as they were dried out. We also had to go in search of cutlery. Tables were not cleared in a timely manner - 4 were vacated just after we arrived but they were not cleared until we were just leaving; staff were not busy, they were standing around chatting. This week’s visit was just for ice cream to eat outside; although they were closed, they were clearing up so sold us the ice creams. Hard to believe that, on a hot sunny afternoon of a Bank Holiday weekend, normal hours are strictly adhered to when customers were trying to get tea and cakes at 4pm - which is, after all, tea time!!! Anyone who knew the previous café would have expected the place to still be serving!!! I hope the staff don’t ever complain about lack of custom if they can’t serve people when they turn up on a half-term holiday weekend!
Always a good stop off after a visit to the Marina. Covid protocols in place. Haven't eaten inside but always plenty of tables available. Nice selection of cakes and hot drinks.
Tea served in a proper teapot with china cups and delicious cake. Great friendly staff.
