Been a patient at Surrey lodge for 20 years. In the last 3 years it has gone very down hill, impossible to get an appointment, receptionist are quite rude speaking, and since they have installed the waiting service on the phone, be sure for a long wait before they answer. This practice used to be a good surgery. Not any more.

Saw Dr Hamid today and would be more than happy to see her on future visits. Excellent GP, happy to see you, extremely knowledgeable and very very helpful. Hope she becomes a permanent member of the practice

They often say they do not have any available appointments when they actually do! Appointments are often cancelled after the patient has waited for a month to see a doctor. I had to wait for a whole hour after the scheduled appointment and nobody contacted me about it - when I asked at the reception I was simply told to reschedule it for the week after. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

Not happy with this surgery at all. I've been with them for 28 years, since they were based at Longsight health centre. Over the last couple of years it has been difficult to get an appointment. On top of that I was left a voicemail saying a doctor is refusing to prescribe one of my meds as it's cheaper over the counter. I pay for a prepayment certificate as I have a number of items on repeat which I wouldn't be able to afford without my certificate. Why should I have to pay another 4 or 5 a month for the item a particular doctor has decided not to give me on prescription? I think it's time to go elsewhere as this place has gone down hill since they've taken on new staff, patient care is not their priority! The reason I've been hesitant about leaving is because Dr Medlock, Dr Webster, Nicola and Bernie are really caring professionals and so good at their jobs. Dr Medlock has left now so I imagine it'll go further down hill.
