I like that there were water bowls, a spigot, and gallon jugs. There were also a few activity items. Overall thought it was just a fence in rectangle, mostly dirt so it'd be very muddy after a rain. It would be nice if there were some shade trees near the benches or something.

The dogs love it, but it's the pet parents that make it work. No shade, a mud pit after it rains, but I recommend it for it's friendly pet owners. The park employee tasked with keeping it up does a yeoman's job. Laura I think.

I do love this dog park, especially if its a little less crowded. There are multiple reasons I give three stars. The park could be bigger and the dog owners could be more responsible by following the rules and not letting the dogs run up and block the entrance when a new dog enters. I know its not really the park's fault, but there needs to be a monitor or someone to enforce the rules. Don't go to the dog park unless you have good recall and your dog comes when told. Other than that, the dog park is reliable and usually open. Big enough for the three dogs I have and usually the dogs are friendly.

I was really disappointed with the fact that the larger section was locked and only the small section was accessible.

So, I will start this by saying that we frequent a lot of dog parks. When I say a lot, we are at at least 3 different dog parks in the dc metro area each week. I understand that rating a dog park based on the behavior of guests and their dogs present is NOT fair. That being said, this is one of the dirtiest, under maintained , sad parks we have been to. We have been to truck stops with nicer dog parks. The first warning sign should have been the ashtray inside the park. There is no shade in this park. No running water in this park. The park is small, no fault there, however the capacity of this park is set too high. The surface is covered in poop (yes this should be individual owners responsibility) Animal control should spend more time here checking up-to-date vaccinations, spay/neuter status, dog tags, etc.. Parking is okay, however, the fence approaching park has no covering, so by the time you get to the gate, you’ve already got every occupant of the park at the gate growling ready to jump you. The two pups and I have agreed not to go back.
